Innovation in Responsible Business: Social-Venture Proposals with Social Impact

Over the last two courses in the MBA program, each student is called upon to devise and implement a responsible business strategy—one that emphasizes financial sustainability alongside social impact and concludes with a compelling pitch to potential investors. Deliverables for this project include external analysis, business strategy, launch planning, scaling strategies, and financial modeling.

“CSUMB provides a defined framework for practical applications of responsible business. It equips students with a comprehensive lens to evaluate various issues and synthesize new solutions for businesses.

This is especially important in today’s connected society where businesses are becoming more integral in societal progression and expectations are shifting to have businesses become more accountable. CSUMB is leading the way in this regard."

—Carol R., MBA '22

"Throughout this program, I have seen a lot of my peers switch jobs or get promotions. I attribute a lot of this to our new way of thinking, our openness, and the confidence we are gaining through various activities."

—Danny C., MBA '22

"I can do my full-time work and fulfill my online responsibilities with school, which means a lot to me. [The Online MBA program} let me grow with the same peers all the way through."
